A moment, beyond the in-game save
A checkpoint captures the emulator’s state at a particular moment. Automatic checkpoints build a history during active gameplay when Timeline is enabled. You can also use Save Moment during a game to keep a moment manually.
This differs from Current Progress, which is the game’s own save data. A checkpoint can contain an earlier version of that progress. Keep an exported Game Save as well; Timeline is stored locally on your device.
Choose where to return
- Open Timeline for the game
Use Timeline in the game menu, or open the game page and choose Saves & History → Manage → Open Timeline.
- Select an earlier checkpoint
Choose Go Back and review the confirmation before restoring it.
- Resume from that moment
During a live session, the app attempts to capture the current moment first and creates a safety backup of existing Game Save data. When restoring from the game page, no live moment exists to capture; the existing Game Save is backed up instead.
Restoring a checkpoint can change your in-game progress. Safety copies depend on readable files and available storage; export an important .sav before going back.
Manage history and access
Open Settings → Saves & Timeline to change Timeline, Checkpoint Interval, and History to Keep. History is limited by those settings; it is not an unlimited recording.
In the current app, completing a rewarded ad unlocks Timeline access for one hour. Enabled automatic checkpoints continue being saved while access is locked. If the ad is unavailable, use the rewarded-access checks.
Clear Timeline deletes this game’s checkpoints. It does not delete its Game Save, Save Slots, or Backups. Clearing app data or uninstalling is different: local app storage can be lost.
